Lessons built around you

Whether you've never sat behind the wheel or your test is next month, we'll plan lessons around where you are now.

Manual driving lessons

Pass in a manual and you can drive both manual and automatic cars. If you've never used a clutch before, we start in a quiet spot and build up one step at a time. Our learners often say that's what made it click.

You'll learn clutch control, hill starts, roundabouts, dual carriageways and all the test manoeuvres in a car that's easy to drive.

Your route to a pass

Five steps from your provisional licence to driving away on your own. Scroll down to drive the route.

  1. Step 1

    Get your provisional

Apply on GOV.UK from age 15 years and 9 months. You can start lessons on your 17th birthday. Message us before then and we'll help you plan.

  2. Step 2

    Your first lesson

We pick you up and drive somewhere quiet. You'll get to know the controls, move off and stop. No pressure, and nothing you're not ready for.

  3. Step 3

    Build real skills

Clutch control, junctions, roundabouts, dual carriageways and manoeuvres. Every lesson builds on the last, and you'll always know what's next.

  4. Step 4

    Theory and mock tests

Pass your theory test, then try full mock tests on local test routes so the real thing feels familiar.

  5. Step 5

    Test day and beyond

A warm-up drive before your test, then you take the test in the car you learned in. After you pass, swap your L plate for a P plate if you like.

How many lessons will I need?

Everyone learns at their own pace. Answer three quick questions for a rough guide, then we'll give you a proper plan after your first lesson.

Questions learners ask

Do you teach in a manual or automatic?

We teach in a manual car. A manual licence lets you drive both manual and automatic cars. If you've never used a clutch, don't worry: lots of our learners start from zero.

How much are lessons?

Message or call us on 07852 493966 for current prices and block-booking deals. We'll confirm everything before your first lesson, so there are no surprises.

What do I need for my first lesson?

Your provisional driving licence, comfortable flat shoes and glasses if you need them for distance. We'll bring the car, the L plates and lots of patience.

Can I use D plates instead of L plates?

Yes. In Wales, learners can show either L plates or D plates. D stands for dysgwr, Welsh for "learner". Just like L plates, D plates can only be used in Wales.

Can you pick me up from school, college or work?

Yes. We can pick you up and drop you off anywhere in our area, so lessons fit around your timetable.

Can I take my test in your car?

Yes. Taking your test in the car you learned in means everything feels familiar on the day. Ask us about a warm-up lesson just before your test.
